TERMS & CONDITIONS
Last updated: February 2026
1. Introduction
The Auction League is a fantasy cricket entertainment service that organizes IPL-style player auctions for groups, corporates, and communities in Hyderabad, India. By participating in any of the Auction League event or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Nature of Service
The Auction League is purely an entertainment and social engagement service. Our events simulate the experience of a professional cricket auction using virtual currency. There is no gambling element whatsoever. No real money is wagered, bet, or placed at risk during the auction bidding process. The service is designed for team-building, friendly rivalry, banter, and community engagement.
3. Virtual Currency
All budgets, bids, and transactions during the Auction League events use virtual currency (denominated in fictional units such as "Millions" or "Billions"). This virtual currency has absolutely no real-world monetary value. It cannot be exchanged, redeemed, or converted into real money. Virtual currency balances exist solely for the purpose of the fantasy auction game mechanics.
4. Participant Agreements
All participants in the Auction League events are required to sign a participant agreement prior to the event. This agreement explicitly confirms:
• The event is an entertainment experience with no gambling component.
• All auction currency is virtual with no real-world value.
• Participants understand and acknowledge the entertainment-only nature of the service.
• Participants agree to conduct themselves respectfully during events.
5. Indian Gaming Law Compliance
The Auction League operates in full compliance with applicable Indian laws:
• Public Gambling Act, 1867 — The Auction League does not constitute "gambling" as defined under this Act, as no real money is wagered or placed at risk during auction events.
• Information Technology Act, 2000 — Our digital services comply with all applicable provisions.
• Telangana Gaming Act — As a Hyderabad-based service, we are mindful of state-specific gaming regulations. Fantasy sports have been recognized by Indian courts (including landmark judgments) as games of skill, not games of chance.
• The Supreme Court of India and various High Courts have distinguished games of skill from gambling. Fantasy cricket, which requires strategic thinking, player analysis, and team composition skills, falls under the category of games of skill.
